" Music & art programs are disappearing from Colorado schools and which means many kids are left without a creative outlet in school! That is something deeply saddening to us. We are so proud to give to Denver's youth who would otherwise not have access to cutting-edge technology, and resources needed to be competitive employees in the creative and music industries, by helping to train and support the next generation of engineers, producers and musicians! A permanent computer lab at Youth on Record will be an invaluable tool for Colorado's future young music makers; we're proud to team up with our fans to make it a reality!"
We are proud to announce that as of May 2018 the Big Gigantic Computer Lab at Youth on Record has been completed!

Youth On Record
-
YOR provides critical for-credit courses, out-of- school programming and economic opportunities to the most under-resourced young people in Denver; by training and supporting the next generation of engineers, producers and musicians
-
YOR’s students represent a key demographic who, would otherwise not have access to cutting- edge technology, and the resources needed to be competitive employees in the creative andmusic industries.
A Big Gigantic Difference
-
After years of hosting #ABigGiganticDifference community service initiatives around the country, Big Gigantic started A Big Gigantic Difference Foundation in 2016, raising money for a local charity in every market they played
-
While smaller donations are important, large donations are most valuable and make the greatest impact for a non-pro t’s cause
-
In 2017, the money raised by ABGDFoundation will go toward a single Project. This year we’ve partnered with Youth On Record to give back in a big way to Denver’s student musicians
The Space
-
YOR’s Youth Media Studio in the heart of Denver, is the anchor tenant in the award-winning, LEED- certi ed La Mariposa revitalization project of the Denver Housing Authority.
The 4,000SF Space includes:
The Poetry Kiva | a centralized gathering space Production Lab | a rotating space use to t education needs day to day
Recording Studio | state of the art multi-room space
The Need
-
Over the years Youth On Record has seen a lot of their laptops lost or slowed down.
-
The years-old PC laptops have become out dated and unable to successfully run the production programs the students are learning on
-
A stationary Computer lab customized to the space would provide YOR with more reliable and secure machines for music production
-
Salary for part time lab instructor: Mace, YOR’s amazing Program Coordinator, who will be overseeing the computer lab is the rst student- turned-sta member!
